Doctorate in Political Science from the University of Harvard (2007), master's degree in Social Sciences from the Instituto Juan March de Estudios e Investigaciones (2000) and bachelor's degree in Administration and Political Science from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1997).

Research lecturer at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) (2007-2009), senior scientist at the public policy and assets institute, part of the CSIC, the Spanish scientific research council (2009-2020), advisory member of the office of the minister of inclusion, social security and migrations (2020-2022) and director general of planning in social security (2022-2024).
