Montse Maritxalar Anglada

Vice-rector for postgraduate and continuing training at the UPV/EHU.

She earned her bachelor's degree and doctorate in Information Technology at the UPV/EHU, the University of the Basque Country, in Donostia-San Sebastián. She has been the vice-rector responsible for postgraduate and continuing training at the UPV/EHU since 2021. Before this she held the position of director of students at the UPV/EHU between 2017 and 2021. She has also been vice-dean of academic organisation in the faculty of information technology, from 2011 to 2014, and subsequently coordinator of the degree in IT Engineering from 2014 to 2017. She has taken part in more than 40 competitive research projects at Spanish and European level, and in several contracts with companies and other bodies.

She also sat on the Special Committee for Promoting Basque in the Digital Medium at the Basque government's Basque language advisory council between 2015 and 2020, and was one of the Spanish representatives in the European Network for Combining Language Learning with Crowdsourcing Techniques cost action between 2016 and 2021.
