Adviser on institutional relations in the Basque government department of work and employment.

His professional career has been connected with managing employment, training and local development services. He has participated in the Basque Government's Regional Committees programme. In addition, he has been director of the Basque Government's Labour Market Observatory and was responsible for projects leading to the origins of the current LANBIDE, such as Langai, the Basque Work Placement Service and the LANBIDE.NET website.

He was Director of the Egailan Public Company in its final stages and the first Director of LANBIDE, the Basque Employment Service.
