A Law graduate from the University of the Basque Country (2008) and a graduate in Economics and Business Studies specialising in situational economics and the public sector from the University of the Basque Country (1991).

Master's degree in Gender and Equality Policy from the King Juan Carlos University (2009) and University Specialist in Finance from the University of the Basque Country (1995).

Deputy minister of employment and youth (2020-2021), director of work and social security in the Basque government (2016-2020), career civil servant in procedural and administrative management in the Basque justice department (2009-2016), councillor responsible for social action and development aid and 2nd deputy mayor in the town hall in the locality of Erandio (2015-2016).

Deputy minister of public administration in the Basque government (2010-2012), Basque government director of the civil service (2009-2010) and head of the justice sector of the CCOO trade union federation (2000-2008).
