Carlos Pereda

Head of Training at CONFEBASK.

A graduate in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Deusto, he holds a master's degree in Human Resources and People Management from the UPV/EHU. He began his professional career in 1998 at Hobetuz, the Basque continuing training foundation. In 1999 he moved to CONFEBASK, the Basque business confederation, where he has worked for nearly 25 years to implement dual vocational training in the Basque Country and in analysing Basque companies' employment and training needs. He was a member of the Basque Economic and social Council from 2010 to 2014. Since 2011, when the Basque employment service Lanbide was set up, he has been a member of its board of directors.

He currently also sits on the university council of the University of the Basque Country and the Basque Schools Council, as representative of Basque businesses. In the past he has also run different Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus+ mobility programmes.
