Begoña López

Head of SEPEPA, the Asturias public employment service.

Begoña López is a graduate in Sociology, specialist in Applied Social Research and Data Analysis and holds a doctorate in Sociology. She is qualified in African Political Economy and has a master's degree in Public Management and Institutional Leadership.

In 2007 she joined the government of the Principality of Asturias as a sociologist. Until 2013 she was head of the sociological analysis department of the economic and social council of the Principality of Asturias. Also, from 2010 to 2012 she was an associate lecturer at the University of Oviedo and from 2018 to 2023 head of the Asturian social services observatory.
